Shannon is gone, I hope she's drifting out to sea

You know that song "Shannon," which is either about a girl drowning, or maybe killing herself, or I'm not really sure what all?

Singer Henry Gross talks about how it was inspired by a Beach Boy, his dog, and one of those environmental song records.
