Our black cat, Wednesday, has this same problem -- you take his photo and his features are not all that visible. (From I Can Has Cheezburger, for those who can't view that site.)
I have the same problem with my black cats. I'm trying to get good photos of them because I've decided to do a LOLcat photo every Saturday for NaBloPoMo, but I'm not having much luck. Maybe our calico will have to star in all of them...
I have a black cat too, and it was hard for to photograph her at first. What finally did it was a better quality digital camera, never using flash, and trying to get her while in direct sunlight. (The flash, besides sometimes making her eyes look weird, also further obliterated her features.)

ReplyDeleteMy cat, 'Enriette, has the exact same problem. She is a black hole.
