None can compare. I've written to Frito Lay requesting their return in the past. Recently THEY HAVE RETURNED! At least they are available in my area of Kenosha, Wisconsin. They are packaged in the original retro package design and taste just as they did back in the day. When they first reappeared the package even stated "They're Back". If they sell them here then they must be available via mail. I'm just glad they're back.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13936314.post-79757387642337889812011-02-28T12:07:12.673-08:002011-02-28T12:07:12.673-08:00They're BAAAACCKKK...after the retro packaging...They're BAAAACCKKK...after the retro packaging run I found just before the Super Bowl, someone at Frito Lay had the good sense to make the return more permanent--at least I hope so. The current stuff comes in the same sort of packaging as the rest of the Doritos line. The only thing was the first bag of the Original Taco flavor Doritos I tried in the new packaging had a bit of nacho flavor to them. Nevertheless, Original Taco was and will be my favorite Doritos flavor and even accidentally tinged with a bit of nacho flavor it still is tops over all the rest.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13936314.post-36049605913941420552011-01-24T17:18:24.857-08:002011-01-24T17:18:24.857-08:00I've recently seen Taco flavored Doritos (in G...I've recently seen Taco flavored Doritos (in Georgia) in a what I will call "retro-inspired" bag. I have no previous Taco Doritos to compare them to, except for the Late Night Tacos flavor. Just thought I'd add to the ever-growing comments on the search for the elusive Dorito. :-)Kiranoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13936314.post-27565875317514981662010-07-16T18:23:56.813-07:002010-07-16T18:23:56.813-07:00When I was growing up, Taco flavored Doritos came ...When I was growing up, Taco flavored Doritos came in a white bag. The Corn-flavored came in a brown. Anyways - I saw Tacos at Midnight flavored at Walmart last payday and Hot Dam! I bought a bag and dreamed about hunkering down to a good old movie and a bag of my favorite childhood chips. Nada. It was sligtly like the old Taco Doritos. But the comparison is weak. Why mess with perfection? Bring them back! And don't start out dumping extra flavoring on them until we get hooked...and then sparsley covering any chip later on...dangit, keep them consistent! Why "Taco" is no longer available is beyond me. I love "Nacho Cheese" but I believe I even loved the "Taco" better. The "Taco" that I sometimes see on grocery shelves now IS NOT THE SAME "TACO" as the original. Not sure why Frito Lay did away with the best "Taco"! Then they came out with that garbage taco bell flavor which was awful. Anyways, I doubt if we will ever get the same flavor taco chips that we who are old enough remember.

I also miss QUISP cereal, wish I could get that.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06795319776629348621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13936314.post-73973664131029479832009-10-27T18:39:40.692-07:002009-10-27T18:39:40.692-07:00I loved the original Taco Flavored Doritos.
