You've got to wonder what kind of meetings they had over at Hilton Corp. when they decided to open a hotel in Hanoi. "Why, we'll just call it the...oh. Yeah. Wait. Never mind."
It does look like a beautiful place, though, and apparently it's several miles from the infamous prison. Which has John McCain's flight suit on display. Kinda creepy.
I've stayed there and it is lovely. If you stay on the executive floor, they have an open bar for guests every evening, with table service & lots of food - one night they had a chef making fresh rice paper rolls to order. I want to go back there now! Anyway, I did note that it is always referred to as the Hilton Hanoi, rather than the other way around.
