Why did no one tell me these things 10 years ago?

10 things you should know before moving to Seattle. It's like the first one was written just for me, what with its "You'd better stay in Minnesota if you think a city should be able to function in snow."

    I live on the side of Washington where snow is a normal part of winter but I always give Seattle a pass when it comes to freaking out at some flakes. The steep hills and the lack of infrastructure make a really bad combination. The ice doesn't help either.
