This photo tour of the Chernobyl area is heart-stoppingly chilling, especially when you get to the abandoned school and amusement park. I keep hoping that we won't be seeing photos of other cities abandoned some day, due to dirty bombs or other nightmare scenarios.

ReplyDeleteI too visited Chernobyl and Pripyat. What a tragedy that the school had a huge supply of gas masks that were never used. I have several friends in ill health because of the misinformation of the Soviet government.
