Generation X has to be up really early tomorrow morning

Everyone's linking to this Gen X had it worse than Gen Y essay, and for good reason. It's sharply written and awesome.

"Generation X is used to being ignored, stuffed between two much larger, much more vocal, demographics. But whatever! Generation X is self-sufficient. It was a latchkey child. JenX67 had a fascinating link to a piece by an Irish Gen Xer bemoaning how tough it is for his generation there.

Really interesting, since we're so heads-down about our own financial woes in America, to see what's going on in the lives and heads of Europeans.

Especially since when we visited Ireland in 1999, it was called "the Celtic Tiger" and there were construction cranes busily working everywhere.
