Pamela Smart conned her high-school boyfriend and his pals into killing her husband, Greg Smart, nearly 20 years ago. Yes, let's make that horrible event into a musical! Instead of Oklahoma!'s "Poor Jud is Daid," we can all sing "Poor Greg is daid, his wife had him shot in the haid." Ugh, sickening.

Note that this is based on the Joyce Maynard book "To Die For," and I have a Joyce Maynard fascination in addition to a true-crime fetish, so this is doubly interesting to me.

Apparently Syl Jones has written a play about Kirby Puckett that will premiere in Minnesota this weekend.

It sounds kind of fascinating, especially the dialogue between Young Kirby and Older, Fatter Kirby.

It's still hard to believe he's dead, at such a young age, after such an eventful, high-and-low-filled life.

Johnny Utah lives!

I have a soft spot in my heart for the movie "Point Break." (KEANU: "I am totally an Eff Bee Eye agent, dude!")

So I was highly enertained to read on Deadspin that there is a humorous (could there be any other kind?) stage musical version. Complete with skydiving!

And the best part: "Best of all, you could be the next Johnny Utah... the starring role of Keanu will be selected at random from the audience each night, and will read their entire script off of cue-cards. This method manages to capture the rawness of a Keanu Reeves performance, even from those who generally think themselves incapable of acting."

How perfect. You'll at least have as much skill in the role as Keanu.
