The subject line is a sentence that came out of a game we sometimes play. You may know it as Eat Poop You Cat -- it's where someone writes down a phrase and another person tries to draw that phrase. Then, without knowing the phrase, someone looks only at the drawing and writes down the phrase they think it was...then someone draws THAT phrase, and so on.

We call it The Ferry Game because we played it while waiting in line to drive on to one of Seattle's ferries.

Anyway, there's a neat site that now lets you play it online, and has dubbed the game "Broken Picture Telephone." (Via Metafilter.)

Good as gold

I've complained before about how much I hate awards shows, but that's beyond the point.

I still used Defective Yeti's cool make-your-own-Oscar-pool thingie, and you're welcome to participate if you like.

I left out the categories like cinematography and sound mixing because I know so little about them that it's kind of like voting for random judges (TM Dan!).
