Underrated show of the year? "The Good Wife."
I hated "Canterbury's Law," Julianna Marguiles' last legal show, but this one works. They don't even lean too hard on the wronged-politician's-wife conceit, although that is interesting.

I keep hearing about this show, word-of-mouth style: Once at a party and once at my book club meeting. In both cases the women spoke quite passionately about how good this show is.
