Got your dictionary ready?

Only the New York Times can review a tawdry book like "The Politician," about John Edwards' completely creepy sex life, and manage to find a way to use words like "Stakhanovite" and "popinjay."

But also, "bonkers." So they're down with the real people, yo?

And I do wish we could stop calling kids born outside of marriage "illegitimate." You know, they're just as "legitimate" as any other kid, no matter who their parents are.

It bugs me in the same outdated way that "coed" does when used for a female college student. Guys! It's 2010! Women have been going to college for quite some time now! You can drop the pandering "coed."

I think "coed" just means "dirty movie" now.
