What I'm reading

I'm throwing myself back into the past and into faraway lands, both real and fictional.
I've been ripping through the "Song of Ice and Fire" series, the books HBO's "Game of Thrones" is based on. Am a quarter of the way through the fourth book yet, so depending on whether or not George RR Martin comes out with the fifth one in July or not. I'm reading those with my Kindle for iPhone app.

But I have an actual book too, "The Far Pavillions," about an English boy raised in India, which has been compared to "Gone With the Wind." There's also a DVD movie with Amy Irving, but I want to read the book first.

What are you reading?

The Nine by Jeffrey Toobin. A look a the workings of the U.S. Supreme Court. I found it riveting -- which surprises me as I rarely read non-fiction.
