For a while, going to Lush was one of many very cool things about going to Canada. As chains spread and proliferate across the globe, we get spoiled here in the U.S., where almost any major company seems to have a store nearby. Lush was a real treat, in part because you couldn't just go there whenever you felt like it, so visiting the Canadian (or other) stories felt like a rare experience.
Lush is now spreading out throughout the States though, and Kim points out that one will be opening shortly in Bellevue Square, a posh mall in a Seattle suburb.
I admitted to her that I never quite fell in love with the Lush product line the way so many people I know did, but I do like rummaging in the stores, with their many-scented bath treats and their by-the-slice soaps. Even though every time I enter a store, it makes me sneeze.
