Isn't little Benjamin Franklin a dear?

Coming out in October: The book of American Heirloom Baby Names.

Supposedly "They are the names of real-life American poets and soldiers, artists and pioneers, entrepreneurs, teachers, and athletes."

Uh, so couldn't you just page through your old social-studies text, or, you know, any basic American history book? I mean, do you need a book to suggest naming your kid Paul Revere or Betsy Ross? Or are they all going to be names like the one-act play I was in in eighth grade, where I played a woman named Hepzibah and my husband was Ezekiel?

Have you read a school history book lately? Everything's so sanitized, so glossed over. Other than Abe and Benjy, kids aren't getting much history these days!
