OK, so the cops in this small town just go around looking for people sleeping in their cars, and offer them a cozy room in the police station? And not a cell, but a nice private with blankets, a cot, a sink and bathroom access?
I understand it's supposed to be small-town Canada, but man, this is some happy Fantasyland Elly lives in. I'm sure they'd pick up anyone and offer them this same privilege, right, not just middle-aged white women. You're scruffy, you're young, you're homeless, you still get free room and board for a night, yes?
Which reminds me: Are these supposed to be First Nations cops? Is this another example to us of what a wonderful world Liz has chosen to live in?
And is Elly ever going to call home, since you know if one of her kids didn't, she'd have their HEAD?

Let's see... hm. If I were to guess the plot, I'd say that Elly is either going to run into Howard, or else find out something more about him in the police files while she's there.
You know, I've been reading Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus" lately, and I'm suddenly getting visions of the FBOFW characters chopping off their hands and being murdered and swearing revenge.
Oh -- maybe Anthony *hired* Howard to attack her, and that's why he knew just the moment to arrive, and he was hoping it would move her to come with him and help him leave his wife.
Anyway, I'm rambling and guessing the plot too much in this thing...
What is up with Elly's expression in the last frame? She looks very strange/stoned. Maybe they should have booked her after all.
I was under the impression that everyone knew she'd have to stay the night somewhere and continue in the morning. She just happened to miss the last open hotel.
Beth, I thought that same thing. This is the foreshadowing of the canadian version of Elly and John's Sun City.

I loved today strip (Monday's), and while Gael is gone, I say let's keep posting as the week progresses. I never would have dreamed that the whole jail thing was about April and a new man.

As we've been saying over on The FOOBiverse's Journal, thank GOD it's not 'Granthony.' I'm just sorry this didn't happen in time for me to work it into my latest FBoFW 'FanFic' but if this arc goes anywhere, it might work as a stand-alone parody.
