Up in that area of Ontario, it wouldn't surprise me. And Elly knowing the remoteness should have stopped at that other motel. Talk about stupid.

I'm simply bumfuzzled.
I mean, the only way I would buy this storyline is if she had been confused *on the way there* about where to stop. But since she's already made the trip one-way, she should've made note of where to stay on the way back, known how long it would take, etc. Sooo dumb.
Or gosh--maybe she should have just stayed with Liz for the night and left in the morning.

Maybe they assume she was "sleeping one off" and hauled her in for suspicion of driving under the influence?
My boyfriend saw the first panel and yelled out, "For FLOOZY! Elly's ROADSIDE!"
