New Orleans' Cafe du Monde, home of the famous beignets and chicory coffee (though we chose a frozen cappuccino instead), has reopened.
Powdered-sugar suppliers and Big Easy fans the world around rejoice. It's a small step, but a vital one. Dammit, watching the video gave me a little lump in my throat. A good day for a sugar high.
