I have never been able to wear cool shoes, because I have weirdly sized feet that have little tolerance for anything but the most comfortable shoes (thankfully, I found Enzo Angiolini Liberty flats some years ago, the one nice work shoe that feels like a slipper). But now I've been bravely branching out lately, and finding some shoes I can actually tolerate.
So of course I was curious about these FootPetals, pads for heels, toes, and straps to make shoes more comfortable. I have to wonder how well they work though.

I found a felt pad version of the Tip Toe while traveling in Europe. They saved my feet when I was sightseeing 12 or so hours a day, for several weeks. I don't know how cushy these are, but they do look cuter than the gel ball of foot pads available at the drugstore. You know, in case I kick off my shoes and someone wants to drink champagne from them. Heh.
They won't make obscenely uncomfortable shoes feel great, but the thing they do best is stop you from having "toe overhang" -- that's what happens in four-inch open-toed heels, your feet slide too far forward, right? These help keep your little toesies in the shoes. They work well, but I wish they were a little cheaper.
I wear these all the time!!! They cushion the ball of your feet so when you're wearing heels, you don't get that terrible unbearable ache about an hour into things. They make even payless cheapies comfortable (I just switch them in and out with more double stick tape, they work GREAT).
