And I love this site: Los Angeles time machines, a site listing restaurants and bars in LA that make you feel you've gone back in time.
For a fairly new city, LA has a fun and very retro history that hasn't quite been wiped out totally. I can see I'm going to have to spend some time browsing through this site to find places to visit on our next trip to see Rob's family. Many of the joints on these pages remind me of Danny's, the somewhat seedy, forever 1970s bar and restaurant that Quincy went to all the time on "Quincy, M.E."
