While I was raised more on Fanny Farmer chocolates than on Maud Borup, I was still sad to see that the last of the 10 locations of this Minnesota-based candy shop went under. They were definitely part of St. Paul's unique charm, and it's tough to lose those small retailers that give the city its style.

They really had some location problems...one of the last 10 was at Knollwood Mall in St. Louis Park. You could have shot off a cannon in there on the day after Thankgiving and not touched a soul. Bet you there was one at Apache Plaza too!
