I'm back from the TV Critics summer press tour. It was amazing and exhausting and valuable and somewhat insane.
I am not the kind of TV watcher who is all about the stars. I've never asked for an autograph in my life, nor can I keep different actors and actresses straight half the time. As befits a writer, I guess, I'm all about the stories. Yet it is still really weird to find yourself at a network party that looks like something out of a movie and to be unable to turn around without bumping into someone famous (Ted Danson! Chris Rock! Larry Hagman! Courteney Cox! Hugh Laurie!) Even for someone like me who can't put a name to most of the famous faces around me, it's nigh-unnerving.
