And that's the song of ten

I had a love-hate relationship with this "Sesame Street" sketch growing up. I was kind of fascinated with the baker who always fell down the stairs and dropped the cakes, but at the same time, he was a bit exasperating.

Dude, don't try to carry 10 cakes at once! You'd think you'd learn. Get a cart or some help or something. For just a tiny smidgen of frosting, I'd have carried one for you.

Also note that Jim Henson provides the baker's voice. Huh. Who knew? (Update: Henson is also the baker! At first I thought he just did the voice.)

It's not just Jim Henson's voice.

That's Jim himself as the baker.

oh gosh - I used to get so upset when the baker would drop his cakes. Like, upset to the point that I would burst into tears and my mother began switching off the TV when she'd hear the 10 song.

Henson was the voice of Kermit. I think his son does it now.

I search for a lot of Sesame Street stuff on You Tube. I've shown my daughters my all time favorite Sesame Street song (Capital I), followed by lower case N, my second favorite song.

I also did a search for David, who was my favorite adult human being on Sesame Street next to Mr. Hooper. It was great seeing him again.
