Seattle's in for some big windstorms and lots o' rain tonight. We're being warned that it could be the storm o' the century, or at least of the past few years. There's a floating bridge that connects the city of Seattle to the suburbs, where work/Microsoft is, and when the winds get over 50 mph for 15 minutes, they shut 'er down. Looks like that's going to happen tonight and into tomorrow.
Some are saying we should be prepared for up to three days with no power. Yikes.
Traffic home was exacerbated not only by the wind and rain, but by tens of thousands of people trying to get to the Thursday night Seattle Seahawks game -- gotta love Thursday football, except when it cranks up the pain level on your commute.
Fortunately, I don't have to work tomorrow, which is MAH BIRTHDAY! But I'm still hoping we don't get the weather as bad as they say it could be.

Happy birthday! I hope you have fun despite the weather.
My husband's birthday last year was on the day of the mass evacuation of Houston for Hurricane Rita. We stayed home and watched Arrested Development DVDs and never lost power, so it wasn't too bad.
Happy birthday, fellow Decemberite. :)
Hope you have a lovely birthday!
Happy birthday! Hope you survived the windstorm, wherever you are. I was pretty lucky up in Shoreline with no power outage.
