Because, damn, if you're too pig-headed to listen to your actual live human doctor about how to take care of your unborn child, why would you listen to appallingly geeky fictional doctor Rex Morgan, M.D.? Man, what a killjoy he is! No smoking, no drinking while you're pregnant, blah blah blah.
