I want to do this: Someone scanned in the recipe cards from their mom's collection.
I've typed some of my mom's recipes into MasterCook, and of course printed them out in our family recipe book, but there's something seeing about the actual stained recipe cards, in cramped handwriting and on decorated recipe cards, that's irreplaceable.

Thank you for posting this. I've seen this somewhere before but lost the link to it and couldnt find it. I thought it was so sweet of that person to scan their mother's recipes. It reminds me so much of a book my mom gave me that she filled with recipes she cooked with when I was a kid. She left room in the book for me to write down my recipes so that I can pass the book on to my daughter one day :)
Those are wonderful. They look just like my grandma's recipe cards. I'll have to take a closer look and see if they are any of the same recipes.
Even though I don't cook at all, I asked my mother to leave me her recipe boxes. They've been a part of my life since I can remember, and I don't want them to get lost.
