Old math

Rob speaks fondly of watching "Donald in Mathmagic Land" in school, but I've never seen it. This Metafilter post points out that you can buy it on VHS (!) and of course, parts of it appear on YouTube from time to time.

Maybe I'd have liked math better had I discovered this early!

I actually have it (on VHS), tried to get the kids interested when they were younger but it would always end up being just me watching it. You want I should hand it down to my new neice? Alison

I love Donanld in Mathmagic Land! I have a terrible VHS copy. (I think it was copied from a copy.) I keep waiting for Disney to release it in their "Walt Disney Treasures" DVD series. Hear that Disney? I'm waiting!

And I bet others are wanting it too...

I also have an original VHS copy of "Donald" - I use it in my music class, of all things, to show my kids the origin of the scale as we know it (Pythagorus is discussed.) You've got to get ahold of it and watch it - it's classic Disney educational filmage.
