These pictures remind me of my days reading Barbie Bazaar, the Barbie collectible magazine. Even though Lisa and I only occasionally bought a collectible Barbie, we were still fascinated with the whole subculture.
I once interviewed a big Barbie collector for a story. She was very wary about identifying even the general region where she lived -- afraid of having her collection stolen.

I am not a Barbie collector, but I love dolls and I love Barbie. My brother gave me a Barbie collector magazine for Christmas this year (I believe it replaced Barbie Bazaar) and I also was fascinated by the subculture ... I had no idea!
