So "For Better or For Worse" has skipped over the hybrid strips for a few days and actually offered up some new content...and no shock, it involves Liz's romance.
Warren, her helicopter pilot man, has flown back into her life. Where is this plotline going? It seems pretty clear that she's meant to end up with Granthony, so why resurrect Warren, except to show that everyone who's ever met Liz loves her forever.
Also, this strip makes me fear that Warren will be painted as a big ol' stalker and Granthony will have to rush in and save his princess once again.

How do you not shoot yourself after reading this comic strip on a regular basis? "You're looking at me."??!! I'm pretty sure that even at my cheesiest, easily influenced time that line would have made me want to hurl.
Gameon
I would like this strip a lot better if Liz would ditch all these lame guys. She and Candace are obviously meant2be, who needs a flyboy or granpa-wannabe?
I was hoping you would comment on today's strip. I'm so annoyed that now that Liz has finally settled into a quasi-relationship (despite the fact it's with Granthony which is too "Ross & Rachel" for my liking) Warren pops back into the picture. If Liz starts dating them both or dumps Anthony for Warren I'll know that Lynn Johnston has lost her mind.
She's even started to look like Granthony. I can see why he wants her so much, but isn't Warren supposed to be more interesting?
Okay, the foolishness that is today's strip needs also to be addressed. C'mon! The other man in her life? My oatmeal almost went out the same way it went in.
"You're seeing me"?! Ewww...cheesy and stalkery and...ewwwww!
Liz will never date two guys at once. She may be "friends" with two guys at once, though. That is, she'll accompany each of them hither and yon, but when asked, she says they're just taking it easy, one day at a time, and are just friends.
But if she were to dump Anthony - who represents the culmination of years of forced romance - to be with Warren, Lynn Johnston won't have lost her mind, she'll have regained her senses. What she's doing now is nonsense.
