Burger time

I knew In N Out Burger had animal-style burgers (off the secret menu), but animal-style fries? Rob's ordered his burger animal-style a few times and never could taste or see anything different, but you'd sure taste it here. Looks like the fries are covered with melted cheese, fried onions and...mustard?

Speaking of burgers, the excellent Lunchbox Laboratory is now open in our Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. We went there yesterday. Want a duck-pork ("dork") burger? Bacon salt on your fries? Green-olive tapenade on your burger? A Nutella shake with whipped cream and a cherry, served in a laboratory beaker? Goofy 1970s lunchboxes to look at while you want, including one trumpeting The Metric System (what kinda nerdy kid carried this to school?)? They got it all, and more. Fun-to-read reviews here.

Yes, it's true. I'm the nerdy kid who had the metric system lunch box. I loved it. But despite this early training, I grew up to become someone who could barely balance her checkbook.
