Didn't Alton Brown start the craze for having flames painted on your KitchenAid mixer?
I personally would not do it (I like the elegance of my plain cobalt blue KA mixer), but the photos are pretty fun.
Looks like the site I link to goes the cheaper route and sells sticker kits, so you don't have to pay big to have your mixer actually painted. (Via Cookies in Heaven.)

I think I'll stick with my plain black one too. I can understand if someone got a custom painted one, but I'm not so sure about the stickers. Seems to me it would make it look tacky or like kids got a hold of it.
I'm pretty sure my husband would buy us a KitchenAid just so he could put put those Navy Shark decals on it. He's a sucker for WWII aircraft.
And I'm a sucker for a KithcenAid, so I'd let him.
