Fasta Pasta

OK, so this is kind of an infomercial-looking gadget, but people I trust say it ROCKS, and the reviews on Amazon are flat-out raves.
Fasta Pasta is a microwave cooker for pasta. Apparently you just put the listed amount of pasta and water in it, punch up your microwave, and it cuts like half the cooking time off what you'd spend cooking it on a stovetop.

I have yet to try it, but for $13, I don't even consider it a big risk to give it a shot.

I've tried Fasta Pasta-and you're right- IT ROCKS!!! I also like that it's made in the USA, not China. With the economic meltdown, I figure we need to support our own, instead of sending our money to China. It works great, it's cheap enough, and it's made in the US- what's not to like???

All you really need is a plastic container that won't melt in the microwave and is big enough to hold the requisite amount of pasta and water without spilling over. Any decent Rubbermaid container, or even those "disposable" plastic containers would do AND cost a lot less than $13.
