Rob and I always quote that Simpsons line when we see something cool that's just been slightly tweaked from the old version to try and incite people to rush out and buy it, even though the one they have is perfectly good. "Malibu Stacy has a new hat!"The KitchenAid people put a new hat on their great mixer for their 90th anniversary by giving it a glass bowl. Ooh, pretty, although I sure am fine with my old one.

The problem with such a good product is that you don't NEED to replace it! I bought a KitchenAid for my wife 23 years ago when only white was available (good thing, cause it was in the '80s... we might have ended up with a pastel teal or burgundy one...ugh!).
So now, it's really hard to justify buying a new one to match our kitchen when the old one still works/looks great! I would love to get one of the great new colors AND the glass mixing bowl. My wife would love it, but we don’t need two mixers!
...for sale... 23 yr old used KitchenAid mixer works great, give me a call and we'll talk! (oh yeah, it's white in color). Any takers? :)
actually, it's an old hat. kitchenaid mixers used to have glass bowls, back in the day.
