Hang a shining alien upon the highest bough

Jezebel has a fun post showing weird Christmas ornaments from the Bronner's catalog. (I've never heard of this catalog, which obviously was my loss.)

Alien heads! Personalized TV remotes! Sushi! Bottles of Scotch! Deck the halls already, damn!

Get thee to Frankenmuth Michigan and be warned...tis the home of the Bronner's showroom. It's not just a store, trust me.

Oh, and the town is one big Bavarian copy, cutesy and all. But with amazing family-style German restaurants. So, there is that.

I didn't know that they had a catalog, but the Bronner's store is actually pretty well known. It is in Frankenmuth Michigan, basically and entire german style town devoted to christmas, and Bronners is one of the biggest Christmas stores in the US. Totally worth taking a trip to see!

I am from Frankenmuth, MI and worked at Bronners Family Christmas Wonderland. It is 361 days of Christmas, closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. It is a crazy experience but totally amazing at the same time. Everyone must get their photo taken with the giant Santa outside.
