A lot of writers have done the thing where they follow a bunch of kids around school and try and report on what they really do, but few have done it as well as Thomas French in "South of Heaven."
Rob and I both read it years ago, and we were talking about how we like that Kelly has nicknamed herself "KK" because it reminds us of "YY," which was Christine Younskevicius' nickname in that book.
I Googled to try and find out what happened to YY, but couldn't really find anything, though I did find this article which updates us on another "South of Heaven" character, Andrea Taylor.
