My fellow true-crime fans: Another show we should check out -- "I Almost Got Away With It," on Investigation Discovery.
Not sure what cases they will profile, but the "Where Are They Now?" page includes Diane Downs, recognizable to any Ann Rule reader as the murderous mail lady who tried to kill her three kids (killed one, paralyzed another) all for the love of a married man who didn't really want her anyway. Farrah Fawcett played her beautifully in the "Small Sacrifices" TV movie.
Wonder if there will be a Scott Peterson episode? He almost got away with it, and if it hadn't been for all those tapes Amber Frey made, I seriously think he might have.
