Yet in his inimitable way, he manages to make the best of it. Amazing piece.

Wonderful and evocative of Chicago
Roger Ebert is an amazing writer. I haven't checked his blog in quite a while - my loss. Thanks for redirecting me. This piece brought me to tears. Roger Ebert IS Chicago! Hats off to a very brave and insightful man.
