Teen tragedy songs

If you know me, you know I love stuff like this: Teen Tragedy Songs. I once had an album (yes, vinyl!) of them that came with a built-in Kleenex dispenser...and real Kleenex!

Anyway, this site is kind of hilarious because the person who summarizes them sometimes doesn't really have the patience to figure out who's dying or who's killing who in the songs, and just links to the lyrics and lets you figure it out. (I'm not making fun here, this cracked me up.)

And because it is SO MASSIVE...there are punk dead teen songs, traditional dead teen songs, maudlin Dolly Parton dead child songs...you get the idea. There's even a Pat Boone dead teen song--who knew?

Excerpt: "So, not only did his girlfriend get killed by a shark, but then he takes a knife and goes after the shark and is carrying the fin back to his dead girlfriend. I suppose that's a bit like if Mark Dinning in Teen Angel then went and kicked ass on the train"

I'm glad I'm not the only one. My family doesn't understand why I have Teen Angel and Run, Joey, Run on my iPod.

I got it off iTunes. David Geddes is the artist.
