Fun reminiscence about a food I'm totally unfamiliar with -- Krums, aka the batter crumbles that fall off Long John Silver's chicken. Don't think I've ever been to a LJS and I sure didn't know they had chicken, but I love anyone's devotion to a weird junk food.

We had LJS in Cincinnati where I grew up. We didn't call the little bits Krums but I can't recall what we did call them (you could ask for extra little bits when you placed your order). You didn't miss anything...since the chicken and fish were deep fried in the same oil, they tasted exactly the same.
