Here come the zillions of brides

Is 7/7/07 the most popular wedding day ever? This Time Magazine article comes as no surprise to anyone who's perused a wedding bulletin board lately.

I can't imagine trying to book vendors and venues for such a popular date. I was married in October, a beautiful month in my home state of Minnesota, and one of the most popular months for weddings. I happily moved my wedding to Friday instead of Saturday to not only get certain discounts, but to ensure more vendors that I liked were available. The 7/7/07 brides must have been fighting tooth and tiara for the choicest options.

It's certainly more popular than 6/6/06 was...

I knew I was getting married this year, and I'm obsessed with the number 7 and I still did my best to avoid that day.

About 30 minutes after I booked our january wedding date with our church, I realized that 7/7/07 fell on a Saturday. I was super excited about it and called my husband to discuss rescheduling it. He didn't want to wait that long to get married. All together now, "Awwwwww."
