Deadly magnolia

I'm a big true-crime fan, and Ann Rule is about the best, as far as I am concerned.

One of her most hauntingly weird books, a case that has always stuck with me, involved Pat Taylor, a truly strange woman with Scarlett O'Hara fantasies, who convinced her husband to murder his parents. (If true crime interests you at all, pick up Rule's "Everything She Ever Wanted." It's not gory -- instead it paints a fascinating picture of one woman's bizarre and tangled life gone wrong.)

Anyway, Pat is back in trouble, and no one who read the book is at all surprised.
