Return to sender

I'm watching the fascinating PBS series, "Monarchy: The Royal Family at Work," and they were talking about OBEs and other awards given by the Queen.

They showed the MBE returned by Beatle John Lennon in 1970, and I couldn't remember the story behind it.

Here's a good summary. Give him this, he wrote a great rejection letter. And he knew it wouldn't bug the Queen too much, saying, "The Queen is intelligent. It won't spoil her cornflakes."

I am LOVING this series! (And how cute was the little "Sheep Man" receiving his medal?)
