Crazy cow

A teenage PCJM reader, Hope, sent me this link to a press release about Starburst-flavored milk drinks, coming soon to a dairy case near you. Sounds like in addition to fruit juice-flavored milk, they already have various candy-bar flavored milks, in Milky Way and 3 Musketeers.

Um, yuck. When I try to imagine this I can't get past the gross mouth-memory of those Nestle Quik non-chocolate milk flavors, whether in strawberry, banana, or vanilla (obviously, I have no problem with Nestle's Quik in chocolate, as the good Lord intended). When I was in high school, one of Minnesota's senators, Rudy Boschwitz, had a flavored-milk booth at the Minnesota State Fair. I think over the years he had it I sampled all the flavors, but root-beer milk was really the only one worth trying twice.

Speaking of Quik, here's a so-bad-it's-good comic book: Superman Meets the Quik Bunny. I only wish it was in a fight to the death.
