"Real World" Austin started last week, with the now-typical orgy of drinking, stripping, hot tubbing and fighting that has come to typify this once-fun and original series. (Here's my MSNBC lament about the show's decline.)
Of course, despite my complaints, I watched (and still am not quite over poor Danny getting sucked-punched while he's down and having his eye socket bones break on camera...ugh).
One of the best things about the "Real World" returning is that my pal Kim Reed recaps it for Television Without Pity, and she does a hilarious job. My favorite bit from her first Austin recap: "Rachel interviews that they are all on a high from meeting each other and realizing they get along so well. Everyone does at first! Haven't these people ever watched the show before? They clearly have, because they knew to head right for the hot tub. "
