Today I edited a story by my friend Chris about the questions he hopes to see answered in the next Harry Potter book, due out Saturday. His story actually got me a little excited about reading the new book, whereas before, I'd been fairly indifferent.
I've read all the Harry Potters, but leisurely. I don't get the rush to run out and buy it the hour it comes out and read it that weekend. I'd rather savor a book I like, reading it in dribs and drabs here and there, on the bus, before bed, whatever. But that said, I'm delighted to see kids so thrilled about books, so there you go.
And speaking of Harry, I've posted before about the new Bacon and Rotten Egg Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, but here's a great link offering all kinds of candies mentioned in the Potter books. Chocolate frogs! Ice mice! Jelly slugs! Acid pops! Fizzing Whizbees! Pretend you're on a break from Hogwarts, doing a little shopping before heading back to school.
