I've written before about how similar the new movie "The Island" sounds to the "Mystery Science Theater" movie, "Parts: The Clonus Horror."
Apparently the producers of "Clonus" agree, and they're hoping to sue. I hope "Clonus" wins, dammit. It was one lousy movie, but the "MST3K" version was hilarious.

Yes! Finally! They are the SAME MOVIE. I've been trying to convince my friend who saw The Island and enjoyed it about this, to no avail.
I'm positive I've read at least one book with this plot, too. They called the clones "Geminis". Two clones escaped and got it on, then came back and blew up the facility. That's pretty much the entire plot.
I, too, was shocked to see the plot in the trailer for The Island. It was a total Clonus: The Parts Horror rip-off. I hope the producers trounce Michael Bay in court.
