I'd like to buy the world a caffeine-free Coke Zero with lime...

This Weblog has a good summary of all the bizarre and different kinds of Diet Coke out there, which is very helpful. I would have liked to have this at my fingertips when we were in the middle of central California and discovered Coke Zero for the first time. Now if they only come out with caffeine-free Diet Coke with lime, I'd be all set.

My friend Lisa is the biggest Diet Coke fiend I know. When I think back on our college days, I remember staying over at her house and she'd be at the breakfast table eating a Lean Cuisine and drinking a Diet Coke at 7 a.m. Anyway, I sent her this link, and she sent back her much-simpler guide to the Diet Coke world:

"Diet Coke is the best.
Diet Coke Zero isn't bad.
C2 is OK.
Diet Coke with Splenda is the pits."

There you have it, America.

Amen, sistah. Caffeine-free Diet Coke with Lime would make my world just a little bit better. As it is, I still drink my DC w/L (not supposed to because of the whole don't-have-caffeine-while-you're-pregnant-or-your-baby-will-be-horribly-deformed thing that the Pregnancy Police want you to believe is true) in moderation, but I'd enjoy it much more if it were completely guilt-free.

Wait, I thought Diet Coke Zero was the one with Splenda in it...
I'm so confused.
[Personally, my vote goes for Diet Cherry Coke. Like the nectar of the gods, that stuff is.]

No, there's Diet Coke, Diet Coke with Splenda, and Coca-Cola Zero.
It's part of the wars between Pepsi and Coke to take every single inch of soft drink space on your supermarket shelves.
A vote here- CCZero has replaced DCLime as No. 1 on my list.

Yup -- there's no Diet Coke Zero -- it's actually Coca Cola Zero, or Coke Zero. And it's delicious -- tastes like a diet version of Coca Cola Classic (whereas Diet Coke tastes like its own unique beverage). Down with Pepsi.

I think they should have a coke website where you can order in bulk and pick what "features" you want.
So, in your case, you could order a case of:
Diet Coke
featuring:
-caffeine-free
-lime

Whereas someone else might choose:
Diet Coke
featuring:
-splenda
-lemon

That would be sooo cool!

no! NO! Diet Coke with splenda is the best - the very best I say. Please keep the naysaying to a minimum as it has already left the cold soda section of my supermarket, to languish only in boxes on the shelf.

I second that: DC with Splenda is by far the best.

Coke Zero is great, as long as you have it in a glass over ice. I've noticed that if you drink it straight out of the can, it goes flat very quickly...

Coke Zero is surprisingly yummy. (...she said, while drinking a Diet Coke with Lime)

No! Diet Coke with Splenda is horrid. I don't see how one can truly love Diet Coke and accept the Splenda version. The taste is just all wrong. When I first tried it, I nearly cried.

I love this...I thought I was the only person who would obsess about Diet Coke and its many permutations. My vote is for good, old, just-plain Diet Coke.

I can't find DC with splenda anymore. Is it still being made?

hey everyone! i thought that diet coke with splenda was AWESOME! untill i found out by a doctor that the splenda causes heart attacks, and heart dissorders, also for people who have eczeme, splenda will make it worse, as well as other skin conditions!

Splenda does nothing of the sort. It has the cleanest record of any alternative sweetener. Do you work for an aspartame manufacturer?

I've contacted Coke about a Caffeine free Coke Zero, but they said there wasn't any demand for it. Ironically a week later I see Vanilla Coke Zero. Who wants Vanilla?

I live in Atlanta which is the home of Coke, I simply love it, but I get a little edgy from caffeine. I'd love for Coke to make a Caffeine free Coke Zero!!!

Keep up the fight!
