Apparently, the Laci Peterson case will never be over.
Now there's an author who blames Scott Peterson's mother for raising him to be a murderer, essentially. I think she's wacked, but I don't think anyone can blame her. The author sounds way wackier. Here's an excerpt.
And while there have been a ton of book written on this case already, Laci's mother will be chiming in this December with a book about her daughter called "For Laci."

Although to say Scott is blameless is ridiculous, I believe Scott's parents do share part of the responsibility for their son's actions, by raising a son who never, ever, faced consequences for his actions. I just finished "A Deadley Game" by Catherine Crier, and found Scott's parents' dismissal of any blame of their son for having an affair with Amber Frey quite telling. They first denied it happened (as did Scott), then blamed Amber, and the media. Ridiculous. His mother lied on the stand about putting $20,000 into Scott's account days before he was arrested - with nearly $15,000 in cash on him.
But still, Scott was the one who killed Laci and Conner. Whether or not his parents raised him to basically be a sociopath, he knew it was wrong and against the law. Period. I just wish he could be put to death in the same manner he dumped Laci and Conner into the bay - weighted down to sink and become fish food. But I would want him to have enough air to experience the hell Laci did.
Not that I feel stongly about this or anything.
