Munch a bunch of lunch

Due to my mom being completely oblivious to any trends or cool characters, she bought me a Polly Pal lunchbox when I was in grade school.

Polly Pal seems to be a character created strictly for lunchbox-selling purposes -- unlike Holly Hobbie (remember her nerdy friend, Heather?) and other characters, she appears to have had no life outside the lunchbox realm.

Does eBay have your childhood lunch box? Was it a cool one, or not so much?

I had "Campus Queen"! It was awesome! Very Elizabeth Malone-y.

I had my mom's Howdy Doody lunchbox when I was in grade school. Needless to say I was teased because it was a pretty dumb looking lunchbox...especially for a girl...I "lost" that lunchbox after a few months of begging my mom to let me take anything else. I wish I had it now :) Think of how much I could sell it for on eBay!!!

I also had Heather instead of Holly Hobbie- my mom always got me the brown-haired dolls instead of blonde. How dare you call Heather a nerd! Just because she had brown hair?

Anyway, I actually did have a Holly Hobbie lunchbox, and it was exactly like that Polly Pal box you linked to. I eventually got a plastic yellow Garfield lunchbox in about 4th grade, and it was awesome. My brother had a Welcome Back Kotter lunchbox, and it was the coolest.

Oh wow, they totally do! I didn't think it was very cool because I wanted a Rainbow Brite one instead.

I had a Pigs in Space metal lunchbox in kindergarten and then a yellow Muppet Show one in first grade, before my mom bought us all bright red insulated bags from Lillian Vernon with our names embroidered on them.

Nope--my mom does. In her basement, full of crayons. It was the "Have Lunch with Snoopy" box, in the old domed lid style, painted to look like Snoopy's doghouse. (circa 1968--I'm old)
