At the mall tonight, Rob and I saw an ad for "The Warriors" video game, coming soon to X-Box and Playstation.
Rob is dearly hoping it's going to offer online play, so he can challenge Todd and Dan from afar. They should set it up so that it somehow calls up your game system when it wants you to play, and you hear that famous "Warrrrr-iors! Come out to* plaaaaay!"
(*Like many folks, I thought it was "come out AND play," but apparently it's "TO play." This site also seems to say it's not online, so...damn.)

Oh. My. GOD.
My husband's getting this for xmas, I tell you whut. Too bad it's not online -- what you described is exactly what would blow his circuits completely. He went as a baseball Fury two Halloweens ago, and that was flippin' hard to top. (Although last year's Johnny, from Karate Kid, complete with Kobra Kai karate outfit and yellow piping he sewed on his ownself, may have done the trick -- people were yelling "NO MERCY!" at him in the streets. heh.)
Exciting. I just read a great article about the game, check it out at http://www.meanmag.net/
Oh christ, like I wasnt' a video game widow already?!?!?
We enjoy having a triple feature at our house, starting with "Over The Edge" followed by Penelope Sperissis(crap spelling) "Suburbia" and end the evening with "The Warriors." It's a triple decker seventies dystopia smorgasbord!!!!
