The way Kathie Lee needed Regis, that's the way y'all need Jesus

"Jarhead" is getting mixed reviews, but I have to say they struck pay dirt when they chose Kanye West's "Jesus Walks" for the previews.

Damn, that song, with its fitting lyrics, its haunting military chant in the background and the title sung over and over by eerie background singers, is perfect for a modern war movie, and it's just an all-around excellent song. (Um, none of you little kids go clicking on it though, ya hear me? Mr. West, he swears.)

I found that video on yahoo videos and listened to it over and over this past weekend. It really is a cool song.

Oh, I agree completely! I was quite tired of that song, but then it was so dramatic and awesome in the "Jarhead" commercials. And uhhh, I must say that I didn't actually realize it was a military chant. Good call!

Jarhead could've been a much better movie...I left the theater wishing there'd been more *there* there.
